Established on March 12,1947 according to decree No 3775 as the syndicate of Machine Textile Manufacturing.

On May 28,1997 by decree No 1/236 the name was changed to "Syndicate of Textiles Industrialists in Lebanon.

" Since then the president of the syndicate is Mr. Sleiman Khattar (Soly@inco.com.lb)

Objectives
The syndicate is a non-political, non-political, non-partisan institution that aims at protecting the interests of its members and promoting their rights in all aspects related to textile manufacturing industries in Lebanon, as well as preserving the industry's continuity and progress.

Activities
- Propose and lobby for legislation, decrees and decisions related to manufacturing issues.
- Facilitate the relationship among its members and with the public authorities in manufacturing and economic matters
- Defend the moral and material rights of its members.
- Participate in the modernization of textile manufacturing policies in Lebanon through the identification of needs, the establishment of industrial zones, and the encouragement of joint ventures among members and with foreign partners.
