Kucukcalik Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret and its subsidiary in Egypt K.C.G. Textile Egypt will get € 24 million from the International Finance Corp.
(World Bank group) to build a new factory in Egypt (twisted polyester yarn, as well as woven and embroidered fabrics) and to expand the existing plants in Inegol (Turkey).

By simplifying an invention in clothing for astronauts, Turkish scientists from the Aegean University textile research center have developed a cooling hat, which makes temperatures of 50°C feel like 35°C. The next step will be improving the aesthetic design of the hat. This invention has also been tested on car seats, blankets and curtains. Some of these applications should soon be launched on the market.
