According to the CETTEX, Italian group Martinelli Ginetto, leading producer of fine solid and jacquard fabrics for bedlinen, is to create a spinning and weaving unit called "Magimed", on a surface area of 4 hectares, on Meghira industrial estate (Ben Arous governorate).

Magimed will produce wool, cotton, viscose, silk... threads and fabrics: 2600 tons per year for the spinning process and 3,4 million meters per year for the weaving one. This project, which costs more than 35 million dinars should lead to the creation of about 400 jobs.
