Since 2006, commercial exchanges of textile and apparel between France and Tunisia have begun to increase again. Having reached 1,7 billion of euros in 2006, they should come close to 2 billion of euros in 2007, according to the UIT, the UFIH and the Fenatex, which also stressed the relevance and the effectiveness of preferential exchanges. Lucien Deveaux, president of the UIT, reminded Tunisia of the importance of co-contracting (instead of subcontracting).
