With its automatic laser carding equipment to carve ornamental patterns on leather and shoe soles, CEI (Companhia dos Equipamentos Industriais) has won the GAPI prize (with the support of the CTCP and the INPI) of the innovative equipment. The award for innovative materials has gone to Procalçado for its collection of nonslip, antistatic, sterilizing, anatomic, water-resistant, well-ventilated and shock-resistant materials. 2 brands ex-aequo for the specific product award: Lavoro (fire-resistant boot for firemen) and 2Work4 (safety shoes line made with kevlar, polycarbonate and EVA, and with an innovative design).
