Welcome to Textile Engineering Department of T.C. Ege University Engineering Faculty. Ege University Textile Engineering Department is the first academic textile education school of Turkey. It has been established in 1966 as part of a German Technical Support program and named as İzmir Textile Technical High School. After first establishment, Textile High School has been reorganized in 1969 and become a department of İzmir Architecture and Engineering Academy which is later accepted as a department of Ege University in 1971.
