Worldwide famous designer, Elie Saab owns a growing business and has renowned clients all around the world. Thus, high fashion now only represents 50% of his activities. After having launched a ready-to-wear line, bags and more recently, shoes, he has just signed an agreement with Tatweer to design a luxury hotel in Dubai.
Member of the high fashion club since 2006, Elie Saab is showing today his Fall/Winter 2008-2009 collection during the Paris Fashion Week. Aside from the official programme, Lebanese fashion will also be represented by Georges Chakra, Georges Hobeika and Zuhair Murad.

Jessy Kfoury, student at the Notre Dame University was following a course in product development management when she had the idea of a transparent shoe box. A market survey and a plexiglas prototype later, Chutox was born: a transparent and recyclable shoe box, now sold in Lebanon.

From March 15th to 18th 2008, Arab young designers showed their creations during the first Abu Dhabi Fashion Week. Among them were Rabih Kayrouz and Milia Maroun (whose creations have recently been shown in Milan), Italian fashion houses Missoni and Pucci, as well as designers like Aïcha Ben Desmal, Layal (United Arab Emirates), Rabia Z. (Afghanistan) et Amina Jassem (Saudi Arabia).
