Cultural NGO Silex has been created at the beginning of 2008 to promote young artistic talents in Lebanon in the fields of fashion, design, graphic arts, litterature, music... Every two years, a selection committee will choose the most noteworthy project and help the artist make it come true. The first prizewinner is the illustrator Joëlle Achkar, former Alba student.
