To allow holidaymakers to swim in the (even cold) sea, the Compagnie du Bain has worked with textile, fashion and thermodynamic professionals, in France ( IFTH, Jonathan & Fletcher...) and in Corea, to design an isothermal bathing suit.
Made up of 3 layers, hiding temperature sensors in the long sleeves, this bathing suit can save up to 3 to 4 °C. The Compagnie du Bain has begun its tour of the Atlantic coast to show the product. It will then be distributed online and in sporting goods stores, before the opening of a dedicated network of stores by 2010.

In 2013, Oxylane (formerly part of Decathlon group) is to open a world class shoe technology centre (showroom, offices, training centre, R&D, design, prototyping, production, testing...) in Lille.
An investment of € 10,5 million to produce 300 000 pairs of shoes and to create 120 jobs.

The Cité de la mode, du design et de la création (Fashion and design centre) should open in September with 20 000 m² on 3 floors. The first one to set up there should be the IFM.
13 shops will set up on the ground floor and on the terrace (restaurant, sandwiches, perfume, optics, fashion...). On the first floor, there will be an area dedicated to special events (design, exhibitions, shows). A specialized bookshop and a design resource center should also set up there.
